Ionized water
Ionized water, also called alkaline water, is produced by an alkaline water ionizer. A water ionizer is more than a water filter or water purification system; it is a unique type of water system that transforms the molecular structure of water to an ionized state. It is this ionized state that is believed to provide so many health benefits.
It aids in Cell Hydration--Ionized water is more than five times more hydrating than conventional and filtered water. The ionized water molecule cluster is smaller in size and has its shape changed to hexagonal. This molecular shape and size makes it more hydrating to the body cells because it is absorbed into the tissues far more easily and efficiently.
It is a Liquid Antioxidant--Ionized water is a potent natural antioxidant. Antioxidants are compounds that have powerful anti-cancer, anti-aging, and disease fighting properties. They work by neutralizing the harmful effects of free radicals, which not only cause disease but also cause us to age prematurely. Ionized water, being liquid and micro-clustered, is even more effective than other antioxidants because it is easily absorbed into the body.
Ionizer water contains Hydroxyl Ions, which are oxygen molecules that have an extra electron. Hydroxyl Ions seek out and donate their extra electron to free radicals, which are oxygen molecules that are each missing one electron.
Ionized water is highly alkaline, which enables it to balance body pH, helping to correct its acid/alkaline balance. Our body pH is commonly acidic as a result of the acidic nature of our diet, which increasingly consists of acid-producing foods such as fast food, processed foods and soft drinks. It has Antibacterial Properties--Clinical research tests on ionized water in the United Kingdom determined that it kills over 99% of all known forms of bacteria, including E. Coli and Staphylococcus Aureus. In Japan, it is used to protect against bacteria and viruses, sterilize wounds and to treat diabetic ulcers.
