I've done MANY things and traveled all over this planet and finally landed in North Carolina where I decided to "retire" after 25 years as a high steel ironworker! (Check out my ironworking and 50 years of other adventures here: http://www.picturetrail.com/vizualexplorations) I've been re-inventing myself since 2001 and now, at the tender age of "somewhere over 60" I've rekindled my first passion... publishing - begun in the late 1960's!!   I've been a healthy living coach since 1968, a publisher, photographer and writer, now I've added Optimal Breathing Development Specialist and Reiki practitioner.

One day as I sat under a shady tree, I asked the Universe  "what are THE most important human NEEDS to sustain life on this planet?"
The simple answer hit me like a bolt of lightening!
1. Breathing
2. Water
3. Nutrition
Without these three most BASIC human needs, in THAT order, human life ceases to exist!
In 2007, I felt compelled to add another NEED:
4. Detoxification
- for most humans who are tested, more than 500 toxins show up in each and every one of us...  getting rid of those toxins on a regular basis can greatly increase our quality of life and longevity!

Our bodies can only live 3-5 minutes without BREATHING (altho immersion in icy water HAS extended that time  to around 15-20 minutes.. but there's a tremendously high chance of brain damage over 5 minutes.  If you quit breathing, nothing else matters...

People have been known to survive up to 7 days without WATER, and severe dehydration takes a tremendously high toll on the body.  The average human USES a minimum of 2 QUARTS of water a day, just to maintain the mucous membranes (sinus, throat, lungs, digestive tract).  Chronic dehydration leads to allergies, asthma, digestive problems and chronic constipation.  Water is absorbed mainly in the colon, along with nutrients from what you eat.... IF your body isn't too full of a mucous overload to absorb nutrients!

You ARE what you EAT - plain and simple.  If you feed your body garbage, cells die from lack of nutrition and your body deteriorates, rapidly.  Feed your body HIGH energy GREEN veggies and fresh fruits, seeds and nuts and your cells ZING, perk up and purr...  Your quality of life and longevity soar!

In January 2007 I added DETOXIFICATION as the 4th "biggie" for quality of life and longevity.  Tests by the Environmental Working Group (http://www.ewg.org - look for the Body Burden Study) showed more than 500 toxins in most people who were tested.  The majority of these toxins cause cancer, heart problems and a huge variety of serious health problems... which can be prevented or reduced by detoxification methods relatively inexpensively.

Propelled into Action by A Headline!

A June 8, 2005 headline in the Washington Post  has propelled me from semi-lethargy (at age 62 and semi-retired) into massive action:

along with another headline in the June 7, 2005 New York Times:
Most Will Be Mentally Ill at Some Point, Study Says

        I have a never-been-drugged brain that WORKS nicely, thank you, fingers that type mighty quick and a mission to accomplish!
        How DARE these self-appointed GREEDY SOB¹s, who spent $20 MILLION of our taxpayers¹ money on a study whose (unacknowledged major) purpose is to increase the prescription of TOXIC psychotriopic drugs, tell us that we are mentally ill !
        In my opinion (as a health consultant and publisher since 1967) humanity¹s MAJOR problems include (in their order of importance): POOR BREATHING, not drinking enough WATER and lack of NUTRITIOUS FOOD!  These three factors are critical for our body¹s continuation on this planet, plus each plays a major role in our lungs and overall body¹s health.
