Objective:
To make breathing easier, stronger and effortlessly deeper during waking hours and sleep. Our proven techniques open up and expand the chest cavity and allow the chest, belly, back and side breathing  to integrate simultaneously laterally, right to left, as well as from front to back.  They begin to synchronize rhythmically and together, and the natural breathing reflexes are able to balance, sequence and reestablish themselves.

This Fundamentals program is the foundation of our world wide self help trainings and health practitioner school. It is quite useful for most if not ALL breathing development goals. Guaranteed improvement.

Benefits:
• SYSTEMATIC development of breathing ease, depth and balance of ALL key areas of mechanical breathing function: belly, low, mid and upper back, sides, low, mid and high chest.

• Expands rib cage and potential for balanced dynamic breathing volume.

• Helps activate unused and dormant sections of the lungs and chest.
When the rib cage does not expand it is like trying to blow up a 6 liter balloon inside a 2 liter bottle.
• Increases diaphragm excursion and organ massage.
• Helps reduce or wear down what we call  the "speed bump" to allow for easier, smoother breathing.

 • Breathing wave is more one thing instead of a series of events.

• Helps everyone break down body armoring and strengthen the inner "core".

• Helps to breathe easier, slower, smoother, deeper, longer, wider, fuller.

• Helps reduce rapid pulse rate and/or blood pressure.

• Drives breathing more into lower torso, front, sides and back.

• Helps expand the “bellows” breath for voice to eventually become more resonant with words more clear and easy.

• Overall body is more relaxed and/or energized.

• Enhances ALL physical activities including yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, aerobics, dance, running, walking, swimming, etc.

• Accelerate development of the Hara, Tan Tien, core.

Due to the oxygen increasing capabilities and nervous system balancing, our approach to better breathing has a huge impact on anxiety, asthma, concentration, chronic pain, depression, blood sugar issues, low energy, many aspects of chronic pain, singing, shortness of breath, sleep, weight loss, well being and any factor where oxygen is important.

Most people report a significant to HUGE improvement in breathing the first day.

Works best in conjunction with the Diaphragm Strengthener which is added to the Breathing Kit

Breathing Exercises
Just because one particular breathing exercise or breathing technique feels good does not mean it is healthy or will resolve a breathing development goal or result in a long term aid in a wellness or performance program. Our Optimal Breathing development system is not so much about breathing exercises. We employ a few but we have found that "breathing exercises" mean many things to many people and as a grouping is a potpourri of good, mediocre, bad, confusing and outright dangerously unhealthy ways for using the breath and breathing.  We carefully choose what breathing exercises we DO employ based upon physical function, form and the health, peak performance, self expression, emotional balance and life extension goals of our students

CPAP/BIPAP.
We have received information of possible improved results using mechanical breathing devices for sleep apnea. Better breathing makes these devices work more efficiently and sometimes to not need them at all.
